THE FEMALE GAZE

To celebrate the #warpgirls at this year’s International Women’s Day, WARP has collaborated with artist Marium Kamal from Karachi for a one-of-its-kind sixteen piece collection. The collection in its artist expression speaks volumes on the daily challenges that women in our society have to face. These women are fed up, angry and frustrated on being reduced to mere titles given in the society. These women represent revenge. They want to scream at everyone who stare at them, objectify them and make them feel uncomfortable. They want to stare back. . They want the men to know what this gaze feels like. That’s the gaze these women want to take ownership of and make it the female gaze. Each piece is unique and represent a distinct character, making it a true collector’s piece of artwork.
